More about our weekend courses...
Courses are run over 2 days. You can of course book as many weekend courses as you want. Many people come back with more advanced projects as they gain in confidence.
Or we can arrange for a series of courses, each one more advanced than the previous. You can also request that an individual skill might be included in your time with us. For example deep buttoning is often requested – if you are far enough advanced in the first place.
Most students bring their own work pieces and we would suggest you discuss with us what may be most suitable for you. We always believe students should be able to reach the goal they set for themselves whilst here and do not want students to bring along pieces that it is unreasonable for them to attempt.
We also have Stool and chair frames for sale, perfect for getting started right away.
We are happy to discuss your requirements and expectations
Class numbers are not large and we normally have a 3 : 1 pupil to teacher ratio. This ensures you will have constant attention to ensure maximum benefit from your time with us. We are very conscious that your time with us is as productive as possible.
We supply all the tools you will need, all you will need to bring along are your project piece(s) and the material you would like to cover them with.
Any sundries used for your project ( web, canvas, springs etc) are calculated and charged at the end of your course. Though you are of course welcome to bring your own.
Come and learn the time honoured skills in a relaxed environment within a converted 18th century Water mill. We are located in beautiful North East Fife surrounded by rolling countryside and a few hundred yards from a nature reserve.
